What We Recycle

Residents no longer need to separate their traditional household recyclables into different categories.  Our Single Stream program lets you mix these items together.  Not every hauler offers this program so you'll want to check out our Hauler Directory to see which collectors offer Single Stream Recycling.

There are items that we cannot take in the Single Stream Program.  Please refer to our Single Stream page to find out what items can be included.

What You Put In Your Recycling Cart

or Drop Off Bin Does Matter

What you put into your hauler’s collection cart or into a drop bin can have a significant impact.  When you have an item that you’re not sure about, it is easy to just throw it into your recycling container.  Unacceptable items may contaminate other recyclables, causing possible harm to workers handling the materials, damaging equipment, adding additional costs, and adding the waste stream.

Single stream recycling is a success.  We have watched the amount of recycling go up dramatically.  Please make sure the items you are placing in your recycling cart are accepted.   If you have questions, please check with your garbage hauler or you are welcome to call us 605-336-1744 or email us your questions.  info@millenniumrecycling.com.    Thank you!
